Why business and digital transformation?

MIT has a highly complex landscape of enterprise applications and underlying data architecture that enable us to run the critical day-to-day business of the Institute.

Our primary administrative systems were deployed as long as three decades ago, and their core elements – our enterprise resource planning (or ERP) system, budget tool, grants management system, advancement system, and central data warehouse – are dated.

It’s time to modernize our digital landscape to simplify business operations and systems, and equip our community with the tools they need to do their best work.
